PASADENA AREA COLLECTION TOUR / LUNCHEON
Southern California is blessed with many automobile collections – some very large while others are highly unique. Paul Colony’s and Tim Walker’s are very special, each different from one another. These collections are not often opened up to many enthusiasts.
We’ve lined up both for this Ferrari Club occasion – our private members’ viewing Saturday June 23, 2018. Each are connected by the Oak Tree ladened Pasadena Arroyo, not more than 5 miles apart.
Paul’s collection includes wide variety of Concours, Performance/Rally cars such as a Mercedes-Benz Gullwing, 356 & 911 Porsches, 1955 Corvette, three-window Alfa Romeo, ’32 Ford Roadster including an original factory-built Austin Healey, among others. His Ferrari collection includes a 250 PF, a 1973 Daytona and a 360 Modena – all Platinum judged cars.
Tim’s collection is at least equal having restored rare classic automobiles. It includes mostly French, several rare – one of 3 and 5 in the world. These elegantly detailed classics include: ’49 Alfa Romeo Coupe (1 of 16), pre-war Alfa Romeo (one of three), a Renault Jolly, a 1933 Fiat Villia, a 1925 Amilcar
one of 5, and a 1953 Siata Spider.
Our tour will begin at 10:00 AM in Paul Colony’s garage overlooking the Rose Bowl, proceeding together along Oak ladened Arroyo to Tim Walker’s elegant home. At noon, we will take a short drive to South Pasadena, where the Shiro Restaurant has served fine meals for more than 30 years. With a 4.7 Zagat food rating, they are reserved for our group alone. Owners are long-term friends of mine. Expert chefs and staff will be serving us a two-course, all-inclusive meal, with several options to choose from: including light
wines as well as beverages noted on the menu below.
All-in-all, the event should turn out to be not only interesting but very enjoyable.
